Financial Assistance Opportunities
Financial assistance is available for eligible families by
completing registration at OLV and enrollment in TMS, and completing
an application with Private School Aid Service (PSAS).
Procedure:
Parents must: (1) register their child at OLV, and (2) enroll
in TMS (Tuition Management Services)
prior to applying for
aid. If interested in
financial assistance, PSAS applications are provided by the Main
Office. A $21 application
fee is paid by the family. Parents
complete and return the forms and all information directly to PSAS.
After analysis by PSAS, all financial assistance applications
are then processed by the OLV School Board Finance Committee.
Parents should not expect financial assistance to exceed 50%
of the tuition cost to educate a child.
Due to fund limitations, simply applying for financial
assistance does not guarantee an award.
The two annual deadlines for PSAS are June 1 (with
decisions in August) and October 1 (with decisions in
December).
Victory Grant
The OLV School Board established the Victory Grant to help OLV
parishioners to provide a Catholic education for their children,
regardless of their ability to afford such an education.
The purpose of this grant is to help families experiencing

debts, thereby adding a burden on family income.
A PSAS application is required.
The following are specifics in regards to the Victory Grant:

Only parishioners of Our Lady of Victory Parish will be
considered.
-
Families with outstanding tuition or bills for previous school
years do not qualify.
-
Grants cannot be given for Pre-Kindergarten tuition.
-
If approved for assistance, families may be required to increase
Volunteer Hours.
The Padre Grant
The OLV School Board established the Padre Grant to help
non-parishioners to provide a Catholic education for their
children, regardless of their ability to afford such an education.
The purpose of this grant is to help families experiencing
difficulty due to such issues as low income or outstanding medical
debts, thereby adding a burden on family income.
A PSAS application is required.
The following are specifics in regards to the Padre Grant:
-
Only non-parishioners of Our Lady of Victory Parish will

Flame the Future Society
The Flame the Future Society is a group of parishioners and
non-parishioners, OLV alums, the parents and grandparents of OLV
alums, and community business people, who all support the efforts of
parents to send their children to OLV.
The Society's single objective is to provide vitally needed
tuition grants to families with children enrolled in OLV School and
those who wish to attend.
Members of the OLV Flame the Future Society will provide a
grant to a family experiencing financial hardship, thus removing at
least one barrier to an exceptional education at OLV.
The Society uses PSAS (Private School Aid Service) for the
application process. The
following are specifics in regards to Flame the Future Society:
-
Contributing parishioner families will be considered.
-
Grants cannot be given for Pre-Kindergarten and Eighth Grade
tuition.
Mrs. Rice Scholarship Fund
The Mrs. Rice Scholarship Fund has been established as a memorial to
Josephine Rice, who was a parishioner for 40 years and who protected
the students of Our Lady of Victory School as a School Crossing
Guard for 25 of those years.
The scholarship is to assist any child, who is already
enrolled in OLV School, to continue his or her education in the
event catastrophic family circumstances would otherwise prevent the
child from doing so.
Should this happen in a family, they should feel free to explain the
circumstances to the Pastor or Principal.
