Religious Education Program News and Information

Please keep in mind that all children from our parish, whether they attend a Catholic school, or go to the local public school, are all encouraged to participate in all that REP has to offer for children. Please call the REP ofice should you want to have your child participate in Family Masses, and other activities throughout the year. Please keep current with Flocknote, our webpage and reading the Banner each week.

REP registration is on-going. Please stop by the rectory or the REP office to register your child/children for the 2019-20 REP year. If your child is new to the program please bring a copy of a baptismal certificate.

Now is the time to purchase a brick for the grotto. Forms are available in the rectory and the REP office. I will order bricks once more this year in the early fall.

Please consider registering your 3-5 year old for OLV for Me. Registration forms are in the rectory and the REP office. This program will start in mid-September. All 8th graders are urged to volunteer to help with this program to earn service hours for Confirmation.

All altar servers must get a sub, if they cannot fulfill their assigned dates. Thank you for your service to this mimistry. Some servers are not showing up, and some are not getting subs. Fr. Michael needs your help at all of our Masses.

Dates to keep in mind:

August 17th- REP catechist/aide/staff meeting. 7:30 a.m. Mass followed by breakfast in the rectory and a guest speaker with a short meeting.

August 28th- 7 p.m. Parent Meeting in the school hall for REP parents and children.

REP begins on September 4th at 6 p.m.

Any parent who wishes to help out with REP, retreats, or other activities we do must be Virtus trained. Please call our Business Manager, Joe Russo at 773-286-2950 for more information.

I hope to see you in church and look forward to another REP year! Take time to be with family, friends and God!
